Description

The Water Champ® system provides highly efficient mixing and rapid diffusion of disinfection chemicals in an open channel application. The system is constructed from materials to be compatible with a wide range of disinfection applications in drinking water, wastewater and industrial processes. The versatility of the design allows for liquid feed or vacuum-based gas feed of chemicals such as chlorine, hypochlorite, chloramines and dechlorination agents.

Features

Features

  • All chemically wetted components are constructed of corrosion-resistant Grade 2 titanium or better.
  • The hermetically-sealed motor is constructed of 316 SS for the highest level of durability and performance.
  • The unique airfoil design of the propeller enables maximum energy transfer.
  • The lightweight design and non-corrosive moving parts make the system easy to install.
  • Suitable for retrofit applications or installation in existing chlorination contact basins and channels due to the flexible guiderail and pivot bracket design combination.
  • Can be configured for gas or liquid applications, vacuum or non-vacuum feed, and an Alternate Liquid Feed (ALF) assembly can be added for dual feed of chemicals in applications such as chloramination.

Benefits

  • 20% chemical reduction possible over conventional methods
  • No dead zones; achieve complete chemical dispersion
  • Improved disinfection performance at variable flow rates even down to 2.2MPN or non-detect levels

Applications

  • Drinking Water (WTW) chemical dosing and mixing
  • Municipal Wastewater (WWTW) chemical dosing and mixing
  • Stormwater / CSO chemical dosing and mixing
